British Challenger Soccer Camp

This week Kathryn has been attending the British Challenger soccer camp at O'Fallon Sports Park. It was super hot all week, but she stuck with it. I sent her with a cooler filled with water bottles and icy-cold wet washclothes.

Wednesday was crazy hair day so I fixed her hair super crazy with little knobby ponytails all over her head, then sprayed with glitter. She loved it until we got to camp and then she got super embarrassed! We had a non-sensical argument about what we were going to do but she finally decided to just leave it in. (But she insisted that I leave and just stood there staring at me and pointing at the car.) (AND, major fail, I did not take a picture.)

Here is a group picture taken today on the last day of camp.

Kathryn & Reagan. They met when they attended camp at the YMCA together a couple of weeks ago. The coaches were all British and pronounced their names: Kafryn and Reegan.

St. Charles County Fair!!!

We love going to the fair! Even if it was 100 degrees! We went on Wednesday night so we could see the Little Mr./Ms. Pageant. The girls had fun watching the kids strut their stuff.

Kathryn did the rappelling wall. Sydney kept changing her mind, but ultimately decided not to do it.

We fed goats and donkeys.

We rode my favorite ride ever....The Sizzler!!! The girls are having fun, you just can't tell from their facial expressions!

Watching the bull riding.

Yay for a fun, hot, tiring, long evening at the fair!

Sydney is 5!

Sydney turned 5 on Monday, July 11th! She had already received some birthday money from her grandparents, so we went to Toys R Us and picked out some toys, and got her birthday balloon and crown!

We had her birthday party today! It was a baby-themed birthday party, complete with pacifier necklaces...

Baby Bingo...

hot potato (with a 'dirty' diaper!)...

awesomely cute stroller cake...

and a stroller relay race! You had to wear a hat, carry a purse, and push the baby in the stroller around the cones and back!

I posted a sign that said Just Born, Name: Sydney, Born: July 11th, Weight: 41 lbs., Height: 44 1/2 inches!

My Beautiful Girls

There was really nice light one evening so I took some pictures of the girls. If it is at all bright outside, they cannot keep their eyes open for a picture, so I took advantage.

Grandpa & Grandma Daly's New House!

Grandpa and Grandma Daly bought a house near Gilmer, TX and are planning on moving there within the next year. After we left Louisiana, we drove over to visit them at their new house!

Sydney and Grandma snuggling.

We drove to Tyler and visited the Caldwell Zoo. This is the zoo that I have fond memories of visiting when I was younger.

Kathryn had fun taking pictures with my camera. This picture is obviously not posed, but I like it.

The girls feeding the fish and the ducks.

This was my favorite exhibit at the zoo when I was little, and it still is! This otter was happily swimming back and forth.

We bought seed sticks and fed these birds. Reagan nibbled on her seed stick. She would hold it out and then draw it back if a bird got close to her. Sydney did not like being in there at all! Kathryn was okay until the bird would hop onto her stick. I didn't like that part either and we would drop our sticks!

Ferocious bear faces.

Here is their new house!

4th of July in Louisiana

We went to Louisiana for the 4th of July. We had a great visit with our extended family. We swam twice every day, ate wonderful food, watched fireworks, went on boat rides, and played games together!

Here are my 4th of July girls!

On a boat ride with Zach

The girls each got to go on a boat ride alone with Chippy (Zach).

We played lots of Memory. They turned out to be pretty fun games with lots of cheering when someone got a match.

Uncle Matt reading the girls a story.
