EASTER!

We had a very early Easter morning!  The girls were very excited to see what was in their baskets!  I think this picture is funny because their baskets are directly behind them and you can't even see them in the picture!  I wanted to try and take another picture but everyone was too eager to dig in!

The Easter Bunny had hidden eggs in our backyard!

We had a nice morning at church and then came home to enjoy the rest of the day.
For Easter dinner, we had ham and cheese sandwiches!  It was requested by the girls, so I happily obliged.

Easter Eggs!

We dyed eggs on the Thursday before Easter.  The girls had lots of fun being creative with their eggs.

The Saturday before Easter we took the girls to another Easter Egg hunt, this time it was in Dardenne Prarie.  It was super crowded and crazy, but the girls had fun.  Reagan found a ticket this time and she won a little car.

Spring Break 2012

We did not travel for Spring Break so we found some fun things to do around here!  On Monday we went to a new (to us) park in Dardenne Prairie and the girls went rock climbing with Mike at Upper Limits in Maryland Heights.  They took a class and learned how to belay, tie knots, and properly communicate while climbing.

On Tuesday we took Reagan for her last swim lesson at the RSC and had lunch at ChickFilA.  During the afternoon the girls went to Noah Page's house.

On Wednesday, Kathryn went to her friend, Brooke's house and Sydney had two friends over, Gia and Erin.

Getting Ready for Easter!

We had a lot of fun getting ready for Easter this year.  We had lots of fun decorations and had fun learning about our Savior, his Crucifixion, and his Resurrection.  We really enjoyed watching the LDS Bible Videos on lds.org.

I took the girls to an Easter Egg Hunt in Wentzville, MO.  Kathryn found a ticket in one of her eggs and won the movie, HOP! The weather was beautiful!  We wanted to get there very early so I got up early and made breakfast burritos and we ate them once we got there.

Baby Shower!

My sweet friends threw me a baby shower since I'm finally having a boy! It was fun to get together with so many friends!  This baby boy is going to be one sharp dresser!

Camping at Bennet Springs State Park

We squeezed in a camping trip this Spring before I get too uncomfortable AND before we have a newborn! We went to Bennet Springs State Park near Lebanon, MO.  It rained a few short times, but overall the weather was really nice.  We love having our pop-up camper!  The girls had a lot of fun playing in the dirt and leaves!

They have a trout hatchery in the park and we fed them some fish food.

The water is only about 3 feet deep, so they didn't have any guard rails.  The girls had fun walking across the grates from side to side.

A Visit from Nonnie!

Nonnie came to stay with us for 2 weeks while Mike was in China for work.  She had fun spending time with the girls and trying to win over Reagan! Kathryn loved to play UNO with her and Sydney practiced reading to Nonnie.

We attended the Literacy Night at school and Sydney dressed as Fancy Nancy. I tried to talk Kathryn into dressing as the girl from A Bad Case of Stripes, but she didn't want to. I was going to paint her and everything! There is always next year!

Kathryn showed us some of her artwork that is displayed in the hall.

We went to Brenden's Playground!

President's Day Weekend

We needed a little get-a-way, so we went and spent a night just over the river in Collinsville, IL.

We started with breakfast at McDonald's. Then we went to the Children's Museum in Edwardsville, IL. It is in an old schoolhouse that was built in 1809! Here is everyone busy at the grocery store!

Sydney had fun dressing up in lots of fancy clothes. Then we all had fun looking at ourselves and each other in the curvy mirrors.

Kathryn was excited to say, "Fireman in the hoooouuuuussseee!" It was random and funny.

Then we visited Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site. We toured the visitors center and Mike and the big girls climbed Monks Mound.

Then we went and ate at Lotawata Creek Grill. We arrived at 3:45 pm and there was a 60 minute wait! We waited the hour and really enjoyed our meal. As we were waiting the wait-time grew to 2 hours!

We had fun spending the night in a hotel, swimming in the pool (twice!), and eating the complimentary breakfast.
We also visited the St. Louis Arch. We watched the movie about Lewis and Clark, and we all rode up the tram to the top of the arch!

Valentine's Day!

We had a nice Valentine's Day, even thought Mike was in the Dominican Republic for work. Kathryn was sick, so she missed 2 days of school, and her Valentine's party! It was also "Dress for Respect" day, so I surprised Sydney with a new dress.
Here are the girls with their Valentine goodies. Sydney got a new dress-up gown and shoes, Kathryn got KidzBop 21, and Reagan got a small little bear.

For dinner we had heart shaped pizza, sparkling apple cider, and chocolate dipped strawberries. The girls dipped them and ate them right away before the chocolate hardened. They prefer it that way!

These were the Valentine's that they handed out to their classmates. We cut slits above and below their hand and inserted a DumDum sucker.
