Sydney's Fancy Nancy Camp

Sydney attended Fancy Nancy camp at STAGES St. Louis.  They learned a song from West Side Story (I Feel Pretty) and South Pacific (Dites Moi Pourquoi).  They also performed a play at the end of the week.  Sydney is our bright shiny star.  She loves acting and performing.

This is the courtyard where they ate their snack each day.  Her camp was in Chesterfield (about a 30 minute drive) and only 3 hours long, so I drove down each day and stayed in the area.  I had a few sweet friends watch Kathryn & Reagan for 3 of the 5 days so that they wouldn't have to hang around with me.

Sydney is 6!

Our sweet, sassy, Sydney turned 6! I bought her this yellow dress for her birthday.  She is such a fancy girl.  She loves to wear fancy clothes and fancy shoes.  She is a great sister and loves to take care of her little brother and sister.

Our daddy met us at Red Robin (Sydney's choice) after work.  When she saw him walking up, she shouted, "Whatcha got there?"..."Are those flowers?"...."For me?"  It was so cute!

We offered to let her get her ears pierced for her birthday and she gladly accepted.  Here she is before the piercing.  She was very brave and only showed a little bit of worry right before it happened.  Kathryn told us she would decide if she wanted to have hers pierced after, "I see how Sydney reacts."

Right after they pierced her ears, she burst into tears and I was worried that it had hurt her!  We asked her if she was okay and she said, "I'm just SO happy!"  Of course I couldn't help but to cry as well!  Kathryn decided that she did want to have hers pierced, but was disappointed when we told her she would have to wait for another day.  We didn't want to take anything away from it being a special experience for Sydney.

Sydney requested a fairy birthday party so I made her this cake.

Texas Visit

We spent a few days in Texas with Grandma and Grandpa Daly.

We visited the Discovery Zone in Tyler. (Kathryn has a bandage on her face because she fell off the bed and hit her face in the middle of the night!)

It was super hot and Tyler pooped on his outfit, so we just let him go naked! (6 weeks old)

We also went to Chuck E. Cheese in Longview.  This picture is significant because it's the first time she has ever ridden a ride!  She was always too nervous to do it before, but now she loves them!

Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of Grandma or Grandpa!  Our visit was cut short because Grandma's brother was very sick.  She needed to spend time with him, so we headed over to Monroe a few days early.
